Burnley's original contemporary artists' project space
The Salon occupies the ground floor of 160 St James's Street, just up the road from OneTwoThree.
It is artist owned and run by Creative Spaces Burnley for the purpose of furthering contemporary art practice in the town. It underwent a huge facelift and refit as part of the a Council-led Heritage Action Zone project.
There are four large refurbished rentable studios for artists on the upper two floors and a purpose built project space on the ground floor that we operate as a traditional art Salon - somewhere artists and their audiences can meet, discuss ideas, explore new work and just hang out.
